Mission Statement

Our mission at Genesis Youth Services is to provide career development, education, vocation, and life skills services for youth and young adults ages 13-24. We will do this by operating with the highest levels of professionalism, standards, and commitment, and by consistently advocating for effective policy changes. Our main focus is to lower the recidivism rate of our young offenders, and offer them a second chance at life. We aim to prove to the criminal justice system, and policy makers, that quality education, vocation, and life skills are far better alternatives than incarceration. We are the voice that the criminal justice system will listen too! We will not cut corners; we always keep in the forefront of our thinking… These are all God’s children, and they all deserve a second chance! Genesis means Origin, Creation or Beginning…We Are Their New Beginning! WE ARE GENESIS YOUTH SERVICES!!!

Vision Statement

Genesis Youth Services (GYS) is the leading youth and young adult advocacy foundation in the nation! Our vision is to effectively change the lives of those who have been cast away by society, by offering them life altering skills and programs, which will set them on the right path, and end any chance of recidivism. Our foundation provides certifications in several major skill trades, and prepares those interested for a life in the armed forces with a chance for success. We are forerunners for the throwaways and the runaways, the convicted felons, and the drug addicts. We advocate for those who are misunderstood, misguided, and wayward. Our vision is that none will fall short of the purpose that God has placed in them long before the foundation of the world.

Genesis: New Beginnings

GENESIS is a program that was developed for young men ages 13-19. This 12-week course is broken down into three 4-week sections. In these sections, we will teach young men to first combine the elements of who they are as a person and how to hone in on their purpose, passions, desires, and the drive it will take to obtain their goals through SYNERGY.

Once you have opened a man’s mind to understand his worth, then you teach him the skills needed to successfully obtain and maintain his life’s goals. This section of the GENESIS program is called  MAN SCHOOL.

Young men are made to list and face some of their biggest fears. They will learn how to overcome these fears and survival skills. They will learn what it means to communicate verbally and nonverbally on a deeper level, which will prepare them for life’s challenges. These skills along with career path preparation will equip each student with the tools needed to be a productive member of society.
